PICOTEAM is a network-organisation with nodes in Africa, Latin America and Europe that supports efforts to bring about change and innovations for sustainable development.
Since October 2019 we are supporting GIZ, IUCN and CATIE in developing a programme proposal for the IKI (International Climate Iniciative) of the German Federal Ministery for Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety (BMU) focusing on Ecosystem-based Adaptation (EbA) in Latin America.
The programme is planned to be carried out in Ecuador, Guatemala and Costa Rica.
PICOTEAM steered the process of developing a Capacity Development Strategy of the GIZ/BMZ project "PROCAMBIO", focusing on sustainable management of a biodiversity reserve in Western Honduras.
From February 2016 to date, PICOTEAM has been supporting strategic management processes of the GIZ-EU programme CLIFOR (Adaptation to Climate Change in the Forestry Sector of Honduras), which concentrates on community forest management and collaborates closely with the Honduran National Institute for Forestry (ICF), the national government forestry authority.
